Hogmanay run. Stopped of to help dad load some tables into the car and then he drove the car home and I set off to run round the island the opposite way I normally do.
I got soaked at around Fintry, but it soon dried up again and I got a cheerful greeting from a bloke on a bike.
At Fairhaven slip there was a seal basking on the jetty that the sailway place uses. It watched me watch it as I ran past it.
Got clobbered again by a blast of wind, rain, sleet and hail that I could see coming at me from the Lion Rock and hit me at the Marine Station. By the time I could see the house in Kames Bay it had stopped and my family who were in the bay window of the house overlooking the bay asked "what storm" when I arrived dripping wet. Amazing how localised that was!

5.2m over ferry road and back the long way
3pm set off and it was the nicest part of the day, but already sun was low and setting as I plodded up the hill. Toyed with the idea of going to the top of the island, but figured more light on the low road and did not fancy the descent in the pitch black.
As it was got around Farland point as the light vanished and the street lights of Millport saw me home. Kames Bay was very pretty with the coloured lights strung out along the bay.

6.4m Bursinel Rolle
This time went looking for a route to give me a bit over 10km, but going towards Gland initially and then back to Rolle.
As expected the drag back on the main route (the long straight bit) was the least enjoyable bit, but at least there is a cycle way so not actually running on the road.

Snow with the mini foulee
We even called to check it was really on.
To my amazement it was.
It started snowing at about 3pm and dumped a ton of snow that was about 4 inches deep when we left and was even settling on the road.
But it was magical. Tons of people showed up and the kids had a ball running in the snow and chucking soft snowballs at each other.
Hot tea and cake in the shelter of the changing rooms rounded of a year of la mini foulee perfectly.
Thank you Nicole and Evylene!
ps Yannick had a hair cut. I will never be able to keep up with him now!

6m Rolle Perroy Classic
Easy run with Paul
No running since the Duc due to the bad back it caused.
Classic Perroy loop in the bitter cold with Paul.
The ice was bad. On the way down the hill we were playing football with the lumps of frozen snow when he hit some black ice and really did go smashing down onto the ground. Reflex elbows first. He limped home and I extended my run to the port and back.
Back was ok.
