I decided to go to the bodybalance class today at the gym, I was a shade late so snuck in at the back close to the only other bloke, to the titters of the super slim super supple super scantily clad ladies already installed in the room.
Ha. The lady who normally runs this class was not there and had been replaced by a stocky bloke who did stretching more than balancing. He was slow yet deliberate, easy to follow and eased you into each move through a series of etapes, most of which I was familiar with.
The tittering ladies were now tottering as I held nice form with Alexander technique featuring a bit and core strength a key requirement of the class - I was suddenly in my element enjoying my self and feeling the benefit of each etape loosening off another tight area.
Just what the doctor ordered, I must find out when this guy does his normal class as I would definitely go back.

Bodybalance
One other bloke and new lady leading.
Her catch phrase was (excuse my translation, it was definately foxier in female french) "Each of you has your own limit. Find it out. Go past it." At this point I decided to keep well within my limits as several of the ladies around me toppled from their impossible positions finding the hard way where their limits lay.
I draw the line at, wrap your left leg around your other leg then lie flat on the extended other leg. I would simply snap.

Bodybalance
After my previous attempt at this on March the 12th, I know what I was letting myself in for.
I could follow the french slightly better today. Only having two other blokes and just the twenty super supple svelte sizzlers for company also made it easier to see what the lady at the front was up to.
The tubby bloke was clueless, but the other guy in front of me could do most of the moves so I started following him. That worked ok until he started following me and then it all went horribly wrong. The mirror in front was off putting too, I don't need to see myself doing this kind of stuff, I know how bad I look with out actually seeing it.
Streching felt good, legs feel strong having had a whole day to recover. Race day minus two.

Bodybalance
I was tired. Even after no run on Thursday, Wednesday's reps with Tenke had taken their toll on the legs.
Was planning an easy run, but the walk to the gym in the ice wind made up my mind that I was going to do a class. After all, I'm paying for them and Bodybalance sounded like something that might work for me.
I was a few mins early so 10mins form work for a warm up on a treadmill did the trick. Arrived warmed up and right on time. 30 women and 2 sheepish looking blokes. I join the blokes at the back and try to follow the mix of tai chi, yoga and Pilates. Just about keep up with out falling over and making a complete idiot of myself. Oh yeah and all the instructions were in French, "Zone de comfort" was my fav and I was happy enough to stay in it. Best bit was at the end when I think I might have fallen asleep during the relaxation section at the end.
I'd do that again as I felt the effort in the abs and stretching element was good.
